it's the eve of an election.
one question that is truly nagging at me is "what do people have as their cell phone wallpaper? do they have a colour display?" ive just finished writing something and this was one of the things i pondered lightly as part of my procrastination efforts this evening. unfortunately, i dont write papers about mophos or evenings or the art of pondering lightly. it's all international relations theory and baltic literature and german studies and european film. i dont really blog about them, which only serves to demonstrate that university is overkill. should a person be reading different german classics or seminal political theory texts from the canon every four days? i always revisit this material well after the exam just to disassociate it from the lectures and read it again at my own pace. due to this, i tend to integrate last year's authors into my papers of the year.
but seriously, i want to know about your mophos. wallpapers, ringtones, do you give your evil mopho overlords more of your money than you ever intended to be the case?
mine makes me look like a twat. not only is it a pink phone (thank you night market), its ringtone is promenade by mussorgsky and its wallpaper is a pixelated exaltation of a painting called a rainy day in paris. it used to have two strings of beads hanging off the antenna- they pretty much belonged on a faux crystal chandelier.
my sister has supafreak by rick james as her ringtone and a wallpaper of a sunset with a flower that emits a flying sparkle when it opens. her banner is "Baby Girl"
sasha is such a nerd that he made me pick him a wallpaper and he hated all my selections until i took a picture of his hand, the keyboard and the computer. way to love computers. his ringtone is anitra's dance from peer gynt and i chose it because i wasnt down with his previous selection of chav techno. i really love chav techno because it reminds me of feeling like i had found wonderland when i went to one of those teenage discos in the old country. teenage kids here dont have those.
